Opening To Change: Meditation, Pilates & Yin Yoga Afternoon Retreat, Including Lunch

Join meditation practitioner Ciara McGinley and Pilates and yoga teacher Vanessa Michielon for this intention setting afternoon retreat.

About

The beginning of the year is the perfect time to connect to your intuition and reflect on what you truly and deeply desire for the months to come.

This is why this half day retreat is dedicated to our Sankalpa (inspired intention), which according to the Yoga tradition is a powerful statement that can guide us with purpose and clarity towards what is most meaningful to us.

The retreat will begin with a grounding breathwork and intention setting practice led by Ciara, helping you to settle into the space and leave behind anything that is no longer serving you. Vanessa will then guide you through mindful, somatic movement featuring a fluid Pilates sequence to warm up the body, a heart opening Vinyasa Flow before a grounding Yin Yoga in preparation for meditation.

Ciara will close the practice with an empowering visualisation meditation and a journaling exercise, so you leave feeling truly connected to your intention for the year, with a clear vision of how to get there.

We'll finish the day by enjoying a nourishing lunch from The Lodge Cafe and goodies from our wellbeing partners.

The Schedule

1pm – Welcome + Guided breathwork and intention setting

1:40pm – Movement incorporating Vinyasa, Pilates and Yin Yoga

3:10pm – short break

3:15pm – guided meditation and journalling practice

4pm – reflections, wrap up and light lunch at the cafe

The Space

Join us wellness hub The Lodge Space, a short walk from Canada Water and Surrey Quays stations.

You DO NOT need to bring your own yoga mat, but we recommend bringing an extra layer or jumper in case it gets chilly during the breathwork and meditation practices. You are also welcome to bring anything else you feel will support your practice on the day.

Please note:

No previous Yoga, Pilates or Meditation experience required.

Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of the event, so that we can begin promptly with the perfect quiet and concentration.
